Navy SeaPort-NxG

SeaPort Next Generation (SeaPort-NxG) is the U.S. Navy’s primary electronic procurement platform for acquiring a broad range of professional support services, including engineering and program management, across 23 functional areas. It is an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) with a potential value of $5 billion per year and a total ceiling of $50 billion over a 10-year period (five-year base plus one five-year option). The contract streamlines the acquisition process for the Navy and Marine Corps, supporting critical missions and enhancing operational readiness.

SeaPort-NxG is a cornerstone Navy contract vehicle, enabling efficient, competitive, and flexible acquisition of professional support services vital to national defense and naval operations. It supports a broad range of technical and management needs, with hundreds of vendors eligible to compete for billions in annual task orders.

Scope and Services

SeaPort-NxG covers two main service categories:

  • Engineering Services: Includes system engineering, software development, R&D, test and evaluation, modeling and simulation, prototyping, and more.
  • Program Management Services: Encompasses financial analysis, quality assurance, logistics, configuration management, IT support, training, and public affairs.

Contract Structure and Features

  • Type: Multiple-award IDIQ contract
  • Sponsoring Agency: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division
  • Duration: 5-year base period + 5-year option (up to 10 years total)
  • Ceiling: $5 billion per year; $50 billion total
  • Contract Types: Cost Plus and Fixed Price type contracts
  • Task Orders: Performance periods up to five years
  • No Contract Access Fee: Unlimited teaming with small or large businesses is allowed
